Broken Hallelujah
This was my first show as an official costume designer at my university. The play is set during the Civil War. I wasn’t able to make final painted designs, but I had decent pencil sketches. If you want to see the costumes on stage click the button below.

This was the final project for my costume design class. We were to do full paintings of the characters on large watercolor paper with matching fabric swatches. We were required to make smaller paintings (not pictured) on top of the final renderings, as well as sketches. Only these 10 characters were assigned. I pulled my inspiration from high fashion.

On the Verge
This was another project for my costume design class. This was probably my favorite project from the class. The plays follows three women from the Victorian era accidentally traveling through time. The assignment was similar to Into the Woods requirements. It included paintings, swatches, and sketches. This project focused on period specific research for accurate designs.

These designs were for a production design class as part of a group project. We were to design Oedipus Rex (I designed the costumes, my partner designed the sets) in a different setting. We chose the wild west, these are the results.

Midsummer Night’s Dream
This was the first project for my costume design class. We were to create color palettes for the 3 worlds in Midsummer Night’s Dream; the Fairyworld, the Mechanicals, and the Courtworld. We were then asked to make designs based on those palettes. I decided to theme the three worlds separately as fantasy, period, and modern.

Final renderings of the fairies, from left to right: Puck, Oberon, Titania, Mustardseed, Peaseblossom, Moth, and Cobweb.

Color palette for the Fairyworld. On the left is Puck and Oberon's colors, on the right is Titania and company's.

Final renderings of the Mechanicals, from left to right: Nick Bottom, Peter Quince, Francis Flute, Robin Starveling, Tom Snout, and Snug.
